When asked why, she responds, "I am not Mother Earth, but I can mother this earth through words and invitation to show her I care. When I return to the land, I feel most at home within me. Our world is noisy. I wrote this for you as a way to remember what is often drowned by sound, but is always just a pause and breath away."
