Jacqueline Marie Ball was born on a wintry Christmas Eve in 1932. She was swaddled and placed snuggly in a chest of drawers at her Grandpa and Grandma Ball's home in Doster, Michigan. As a very young girl she moved to 106 Della Court in Allegan, Michigan to live with her Grandpa and Grandma Day. Soon after, she moved with them to her grandma's family farm, the Bentley Farm, near Hopkins, Michigan. As she grew her adventures were imprinted on her heart. These pages reflect her life on the Bentley Farm during the 1930s and 1940s. She shares some of her childhood memories as a legacy to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and generations to come.
