When speaking about a "journey", it is easy to just think of a trip from one place to another, however, this book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. Immigrating to NYC from Ireland in the 1970s, the author had to adapt to dealing with the culture shock, fast-paced environment, and melting pot of cultures. Starting out with nothing and trying to keep their family's head above water the author had to overcome adversity by getting an education, working multiple jobs, raising a family all while dealing with an absentee husband. This book will show you what determination and focus can do for any individual that has goals. Although not all journeys end well, they all end with experiences, some tragic, some educational, and some happy.
