Coles Radsresident: A Guidebook For The Radiology Applicant And Radiology Resident at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC
*Product information may vary - to confirm product availability, pricing, shipping and return information please contact Coles
Information regarding the inherent opportunities and pitfalls of radiology residencies is surprisingly hard to come by. This comprehensive guide offers informal but logical advice to answer the wide range of questions that current or prospective residents may have. Though mentors rarely explicitly address these concerns, this knowledge is crucial to make the best of a residency-and ensure a successful future. As an associate radiology resident program director, chief author Barry Julius, MD, has advised many medical students and residents. To reach other aspiring radiologists with similar issues, he established radsresident.com, a portal offering application, lifestyle, and career information. The website's topics are organized in this guidebook, which is divided into three major sections: applicant advice, resident advice, and resident career advice. These sections cover considerations such as finding and applying to a great residency, tips for foreign applicants, making a good impression as a resident, moonlighting and call issues, choosing a fellowship, and navigating future professional and market options. In addition, to address the significant debt most residents will face, a series of appendices offer financial advice. Combined with an excellent medical education, Radsresident will prepare any radiology resident for a successful career.
