Best known for such timeless anthems as "Fresh Air," "What About Me," and the classic album Happy Trails, Quicksilver Messenger Service, along with the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane, was one of the most renowned and influential bands to emerge from San Francisco during the spirited, turbulent Sixties.
This is an in-depth account of the band, told by a longtime admirer who had the good fortune to hear Quicksilver in concert on more than one occasion. In addition to a photo section, there is a year-by-year chronicle of musical and world events, as well as a complete discography of the band and its individual members.
