When Ron attends an FBI seminar in Singapore, he brings Mary and Joel along for a mix of business and leisure. There, they meet Simi Li, a young, skilled cab driver who turns out to be Susan Wu, an American with a complicated past and family responsibilities. Impressed by her talent and determination, Mary helps Susan secure a job with Franz at a racing facility in Wisconsin.
Susan quickly proves herself as a natural driver and rises through the ranks of the racing team, forming close bonds with the team and Tom. Despite triumphs on the track, tragedy strikes with personal loss, ending Susan's racing career and leaving a lasting impact on those around her. In the aftermath, Mary Parks decides to sell the racing facility, closing a poignant chapter in the lives of all involved.
