Rock climbing is seventeen-year-old Junilyn's lifeline—a way for her to feel in control of something and connect with her much-older sister, Bea.
But now Bea has moved away and Juni's relationship with her boyfriend is deteriorating, throwing her post-high-school plans into doubt. After the latest explosive fight with her boyfriend, she embarks on a solo rock climb to clear her head. On a cliffside she's never tried before. Without telling anyone where she is. As a storm rolls in.
During the dangerous climb, Juni wrestles with her past, present, and future, explored through a dual timeline in this taut verse novel.
