Kidnapped as a baby, beaten as a child. In a life marked by trauma, could he find faith and a heart full of God's love?
Previously published as Old Man Preacher Willingham.
In 1914, Wesley Frank Willingham was determined to get away. After the aunt and uncle who kidnapped him passed away, the twelve-year-old boy had served, for six years, the neighbors who grudgingly took him in. Wesley had been regularly abused, given scraps to eat, and forced to do chores barefooted, even in freezing weather. After he endured a brutal beating, he made his escape in the night.
In a deep dive into a man who overcame hardship and abuse, his daughter Frankie Willingham Wyatt and co-author Margaret Sorensen trace his humble beginnings as a stolen baby through a difficult youth and into a career as a born-again witness for Jesus Christ. Seeing Wesley's love for God transform him and experiencing his testimony of hope and purpose will light a path for readers in their own journey with the Lord.
Written as an endearing memorial, this moving Christian biography has been updated with a new introduction and more family photos. If you like real-life stories and inspirational accounts with spiritual role models, then you'll adore this heartwarming tale of redemption and faith.
