Paul is a little boy with autism. He sometimes likes to do the same thing all day long. He really wants to have a friend to play with but also really needs to do activities that he enjoys. Will he ever find a friend who feels the same? Follow along as Paul meets some unlikely candidates, all of whom have very different ideas on how to play and have fun. With determination, Paul finds a match and demonstrates how the best friendships are found when we are true to ourselves. Beautifully illustrated, Pollywog and His friend Cat teaches us that it's okay to be different and reminds us to always be kind.
While a work of fiction, Pollywog and His friend Cat is based on a real life friendship of a boy who has autism, and the little girl who became his lifelong friend.
