Peter Pan, the boy determined never to grow up. Peter lives in a mythical world where he can always be a boy. He has adventures with the evil pirates, the beautiful mermaids, and the mysterious Indians. His adventures are never alone. Peter has a band of lost boys and leads them on exciting adventures. Peter also brings Wendy and her two brothers to Neverland, but will they be safe from the pirates? Will Captain Hook defeat Peter Pan? J.M Barrie was a successful playwright even before the creation of Peter Pan. However, he is now known solely as the creator of Peter Pan. He was inspired by local boys; whom he later adopted when they became orphans. Barrie received royal honors for his works in 1913 and 1922. In his will, he asked that any proceeds from his sales go to a local children's hospital, Great Ormand Street Hospital for Children. They still receive funds from his estate to this day.
