Giallo - novelette (26 pagine) - A case of fraud, a missing fortune, and a rent cheque that could cost Holmes his home.
In 1888, Sherlock Holmes faces a crisis far removed from his usual criminal intrigues: financial ruin. When his rent cheque bounces and eviction looms, he turns his deductive eye not to a murder, but to the books of a booming London patisserie chain about to go public. With Dr. Watson as his reluctant accomplice, Holmes uncovers a web of cooked accounts, suspect audits, and a financial deception so bold it threatens the savings of ordinary investors. But as the Great Detective follows the money, a more personal question arises: can he use his skills not only to solve the puzzle, but to save his home at 221B Baker Street?
London businessman, Orlando Pearson is the creator of The Redacted Sherlock Holmes series, which buries forever the idea that Sherlock Holmes might not have been a historical person.
Do you want to see Sherlock Holmes come to the rescue of Queen Victoria, arrange the borders of post-war Europe, clear Macbeth of murder, unravel King Oedipus’s complexities, or provide advice to the Almighty? Then you will find all this and more in the seven collections of short stories, two novels, and the six plays in the series.
When not communing with the spirits of 221b, Orlando enjoys sport, music, and browsing price comparison websites.
He has written Sherlock Holmes stories on all these topics.
