From the shores of the Fraser River in Fort Langley, British Columbia, Central Africa might seem like a faraway region-in culture, in traditions, and in language, to name a few. But after observing people of the Kwantlen First Nation in ceremony, author Marc Tateh was reminded of his time in Africa and the need to preserve the Nweh language.
