The night that things came crashing down, I couldn't sleep. I rolled around in the bed feeling scared. I knew something was wrong; I could feel it. Then the phone rang. The woman on the phone told me to get to Vallejo General Hospital if I wanted to see my husband alive. I froze and did not answer right away.
