Childhood sweethearts with contrary ambitions fall asleep in ruins, and awake to an altered world...Fleeing the allmind Om, a man hurls himself into the void of space, and finds unlooked-for hope...A boy labors in vain to warn his family of the doors growing inside their home...A struggling undergrad learns how to borrow time, only to discover she must repay it with interest...A chrome sphere descends from orbit, changing everyone who gazes into it for the better-or for worse. Joy and sorrow, wonder and horror meet in this journey through the uncanny valley. Other Minds is a unique collection of literary science fiction and magical realism that sounds the depths of human duality.
