- Our Organic Legends of China Black Tea (camellia sinensis) comes from the high mountains in the Fujian Province of China and is grown without pesticides, with natural fertilizer and with careful attention for the preservation of the ecosystem. Black Tea is one of the most ancient beverages on Earth. Black Tea also contains flavonoids, which have antioxidant potential. Due to its oxidization, you should brew Black Tea at higher temperatures to release the antioxidants. The caffeine content of our organic black tea is below industry average at approximately 50 to 55 mg of caffeine per cup. In comparison, our green tea contains 20 to 40 mg and typical coffee contains 100 to 120 mg. Our tea bags are always oxygen bleached without the use of any chemicals. Plus, with 40 bags per box, you will love the value. This pack size is a great value for having 3 or more cups of tea a day.
- Hot Serving: Place one tea bag into an 8 oz empty cup. Pour 75C to 85C degree of hot water over tea bag and steep for 2 to 5 minutes depending on desired strength.
- Iced Serving: For one quart of iced tea, pour 2 cups of boiling water over 4 tea bags. Brew 4 to 6 minutes. Then add 2 cups of cold water and chill to desired temperature for serving.
