Norma Thomas Draper's riveting and heartfelt story... Norma Thomas was a young girl growing up in Atlanta during the Great Depression. This beautiful and heartfelt story chronicles her life into adulthood. She shares the joys and heartache, as well as the blessings and successes of her life. She shares insight to what it was like growing up during the Great Depression and talks openly about her time working in the Fulton County Georgia Voter Registration Office during the Civil Rights Movement. Norma was inspired to write this story about her life at the request of her youngest son Billy. He asked her to write a story about everything that happened in her life that she could remember. Well indeed it took great remembrance, as well as many years of research and interviewing of family and friends to pull the pages of this book into an unforgettable eloquent story of her life that she shares openly.
