Small victories last longer (than fifteen minutes). It’s for the love of music, mostly. But Phil and his band saw no harm in chasing after a record deal anyway. Four years on, a lost day job and his shaky marriage have Phil hoping that one last pitch will cure him for good. Yet his devil-may-care gamble brings major label interest, gruelling showcase gigs, and a dazzling session player set on winning Phil’s affection. Success at last beckons – but for whom?
