Games. To most modern kids this word makes them think of sports, computers and many other forms of digitalized and dramatized entertainment. However the simple, group games that many children have played for hundreds of years are rapidly being phased out by modern technology. Children today desperately need a return to the simple, active childhood of their parents and grandparents as most lay overweight and unimaginative in front of a television set or armed with an electronic game console. Perhaps these children are just lacking for inspiration of something better to do. One Hundred Games for Boys and Girls is a compilation of some of the best loved children's games for both indoor and outdoor fun that teach cooperation, teamwork, learning and character growth. These games can be played alone or with friends and are a great source for parties, get-togethers, rainy afternoons or a summer day. These games teach valuable lessons from nature, the Bible, and can be used with school topics such as mathematics, science, reading and history. Originally sold in 1930 for $0.25 or free with a subscription to Our Little Friend.
