Coles One Foot in Front of the Other: The Journey of a Million Steps at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC

While my mother was fighting for her life, I looked up at a sign on the hospital wall that read, 'One in three Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, ' and while I didn't realize it yet, the seed for helpmeburycancer had been planted.
Planning a solo walk of one million steps across Ontario, Canada, during the most frigid month of the year, I decided to pull a one hundred and twenty-five pound sled with neon yellow letters spelling out CANCER behind me and bury them upon my arrival in Ottawa, our nation's capital, to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society. I quickly decided I could wait no longer and the time to act was now, and so my journey of a million steps began.
Experience this story of family love, the kindness of strangers, the strength that comes from struggle, and one man's determination to make a difference.
