On the Way, I Stopped at Geha is an autobiographical book about a woman who endured years of emotional abuse until she collapsed in a devastating fall to rock bottom. By her own strength, she gathered her shattered self and her four children, stood bravely against the obstacles in her path, and rose back into life.
Along the way, she spent six weeks in a closed psychiatric ward at Geha, a brief pause when measured against her sixty-four years of life. This is the story of a woman who succeeded, against all odds, in achieving the unimaginable. Not everyone could have risen from the place where she once stood. On her journey, she experienced moments both painful and deeply inspiring. This is a gripping story of courage, resilience, and a brave woman’s confrontation.
