Sing along to the Latino version of the "B-I-N-G-O" round song as young readers learn about the holiday Cinco de Mayo. Celebrate Mexican culture and heritage with Pablo and his calf, Rodeo, as they head to school for the fiesta. When the pair arrives at school, however, Rodeo wreaks havoc in the building and sends Pablo into a panic. After the bandido eats the flan from the school cafeteria and makes a mess of the celebration stage, it's the final straw for the frustrated principal. Will the students find the magic charm to calm him down? Vibrant illustrations along with musical narration will have readers singing and clapping along to this charming holiday story. Learn Spanish vocabulary with the help of the supplementary glossary, and try the kid-friendly flan recipe for a taste of Mexican fare. Also accompanying this lively story is a brief history of the holiday that celebrates the Mexican army's 1862 victory over the French during the Franco-Mexican War.
