It arrives, and it changes everything it touches. October is a visual and literary journey through thirty days of the most beautiful and melancholy season of the year. Thirty impressionist images - painted in the spirit of Turner, Monet, Constable - and thirty poems, one for each day, four stanzas each, written in the tradition of the great English Romantic poets. This is not a collection of pretty pictures with words attached. It is a book that asks you to slow down. To look. To feel the particular quality of October light, the weight of October silence, the strange beauty of things that are ending. For anyone who has ever stood in front of a autumn landscape and felt something they could not quite name. October gives that feeling a voice.
