The story likely revolves around a central character, possibly named No. XIII, who is connected to the concept of a "Lost Vestal." In ancient Rome, the Vestal Virgins were priestesses of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth. They were tasked with maintaining the sacred fire of Vesta and were expected to remain celibate for a period of 30 years. The title suggests that the novel may explore themes of mystery, intrigue, and perhaps romance, as the "Lost Vestal" implies a Vestal Virgin who has gone missing or whose story has been forgotten. The protagonist, No. XIII, may become entangled in the mysteries surrounding the lost Vestal, leading to a series of adventures and discoveries.
