Jate's ability to accomplish his objectivea and think in his feet when everything falls apart around him has come to the attention of his Minoan masters. They have promoted him to team leader and upped the stakes of personal accomplishment and survival. When beings in an alternate universe steal deadly microorganisms and acquire the potential of killing most or all of the inhabitants of entire continents, Jate and his team of portal adepts are tasked with recoering the containers and returning them to The Infinity Compound.
