What happens when God is doing something new, but we are determined to contain it within what is familiar?
In New Wine, New Wineskins , Ezekiel Coal reflects on Jesus’ image of new wine poured into new wineskins and the quiet challenge contained within it. Growth sometimes requires more than adding something new to an old life. It requires becoming capable of carrying what God is giving us.
This short Christian reflection explores the tension between transformation and familiarity, asking what old assumptions, habits, and structures we may still be trying to preserve even as God calls us forward.
New Wine, New Wineskins is an invitation to stop asking God merely to fill the life we already have—and become willing to be changed by what He pours into us.
