A novel with a history: It sparked controversy and was even censored. Four years later, it became an international bestseller.
Pierre Anthon leaves school the day he discovers that life has no meaning. He climbs a plum tree and shouts out all the reasons why nothing in life matters.
His words discourage his classmates so deeply that they decide to pile up the things that matter most to them in order to prove that there are things that give meaning to who we are.
In their quest, they will risk parts of themselves and discover that only by losing something can its value truly be understood. But by then, it may be too late.
“Unforgettable and timeless. It has all the qualities of a classic. ” Booklist
“ Nothing is a book that influences you forever. It deserves to be read and reread many times.” Lirado, France
