A persuasive and captivating book of poetry and prose, written inside of the context of urban and academic themes and settings. This book is a wonderful mixture of poetry, philosophy, hip- hop, insight, and thought provoking prose that keeps the reader entranced from the beginning until the end. The author''s style of writing is comparable to Gil Scott Heron and Donald Goins. The author provides insight into the world of a troubled generation, supplies a voice for their woes, and infuses words of healing and solution between the lines of awe inspiring poetry and socially conscious prose. This is a wonderful read for high school students, teachers, and those who simply love electric poetry, hip-hop, and the spoken word.
