When Robert was a young boy growing up in Missouri, he and his family lived near a large cornfield. Each night, he'd see smoke rising from the center of the field, which sparked his imagination. He began to envision the Easter Bunny busy at work-coloring eggs, melting chocolate, and preparing for Easter in the cornfield. As he grew older, Robert began sharing this magical memory with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews each Easter. It became a beloved family tradition, with everyone eagerly awaiting the retelling of the story. With the charming new illustrations, this heartwarming tale captures the magic of Easter through the eyes of a child, inviting young readers to explore the wonders of imagination and family traditions.
