My Jubilee Volume is a book written by Joseph Edwards Carpenter and published in 1883. The book is a collection of essays, poems, and speeches that Carpenter wrote and delivered throughout his life. The volume was published to commemorate Carpenter's 50th year as a minister in the Unitarian Church. The essays in the book cover a range of topics, including religion, philosophy, and social issues. Carpenter's writing is marked by his progressive views on social justice and his belief in the power of individual conscience. The book also includes several of Carpenter's poems, which explore themes of love, nature, and spirituality. In addition to his own writing, Carpenter includes speeches and tributes from his colleagues and friends in the Unitarian Church. These contributions provide insight into Carpenter's impact on the church and the wider community. Overall, My Jubilee Volume is a testament to Carpenter's lifelong commitment to social justice and his contributions to the Unitarian Church.
