Each step in Katayoun's journey all over the world brings her deeper into her heart.
"My identity has been shaped by the many lands I have lived in, the many languages I have spoken, and the many cultures I have been nurtured and unraveled by. Through India, France, and Canada, I have grown as an activist, humanitarian, and mental health practitioner. This book shares tools for self-growth and mindfulness, born of the seeds of my personal struggle my search for a homeland within myself. My hope is that my recollections and reflections serve as mirrors through which you see yourself, thereby contributing to a greater understanding of the diversity of cultures, whether Western, Iranian, European, or elsewhere. I hope this deepens our connection with one another and within ourselves."
