Thousands of young BJJ practitioners all over the world worry about competing in their first tournament. Thoughts such as: "What if I lose in ten seconds? What if I embarrass myself? What if the other kids are better than me?" These negative thoughts and emotions can prevent a young child from competing in BJJ all together. In this story, Judo Olympian and BJJ Black Belt Matt D'Aquino helps future competitors to not only understand the pressures of competition but gives them strategies and encouragement on how they can overcome them, on and off the mat. This book is a great tool for parents and coaches to help up and coming grapplers to compete in their first tournament.
