Some spirits never leave until a mystery is solved. Six weeks after the Uniontown Speedway board track president ran to Cuba with the money, his attorney, Senator William Crane, passed away. That was 1922. Today at the Christian W. Klay Winery in Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania, the Senator watches out the studio window, waiting to be set free. Marty has worked at the winery for almost two decades, waving to the Senator on the way to her car each evening. This night he spoke. He had never talked to anyone before. She called her cousin, Cedar Jace, and enlisted her help. Who really holds the secret to Crane's freedom? Marci Lynn McGuinness, cleverly weaves Laurel Highland legends, dead and alive, into her fictional tale, Murder in the Vineyard.
