Coles Mudras: Ancient Gestures To Relieve Modern Stress at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC
*Product information may vary - to confirm product availability, pricing, shipping and return information please contact Coles
This carefully illustrated, step-by-step guide to coping with physical and emotional tension advocates the ancient practice of mudras for releasing stress at any time of day and in any place. Used for centuries by many different cultures—they appear in Eastern dance and meditation, ancient Egyptian friezes, and even Byzantine icons of Christ—mudras are common in the modern-day world as well: waving people goodbye, pressing a hand to the chest in distress, and wriggling fingers to release energy, among others. The author demonstrates how these simple gestures can take a minute to learn and relieve tension in as little as five minutes, and how they can be performed behind the wheel of a car, behind the desk at work, at the kitchen counter, or on a walk.
