The book presents Fludd's philosophical ideas, which are heavily influenced by the biblical story of Moses and the creation of the universe. Fludd argues that the universe is made up of a series of interconnected ""mosaics"" or patterns, which are reflective of the divine wisdom and intelligence that created them. He also explores the nature of the human soul, the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds, and the role of God in the universe. The book is written in a highly symbolic and metaphorical style, and is considered to be one of the most important works of Renaissance philosophy.1659. Fludd's desire that it may not prove offensive unto any of his judicious and discreet readers if he mentions and cites the testimony of Holy Writ to prove and maintain the true and essential philosophy, with the virtuous properties of that eternal wisdom which is the foundation and cornerstone whereon it is grounded.
