When a blue flash of light covers Earth one early day, a single group of people become changed in a way that offends the other 99% of the population. Yes, Zombies. Everybody with an AB- blood group. In the beginning there was a lot of chaos trying to control the 'epidemic' of Waking Dead roaming the streets and countryside. There was fear and loathing and scaremongering until groups were organised to deal with the souls who appeared dead. Every country dealt with things differently or named their collectives to suit the cause. Australia called them 'Dead Search Units'. The French translates as something similar, 'Unites de recherche des morts'. Dead Search Units. Each unit usually comprised three people, and each unit made up their own name that typically emphasised dealing with death or some mythological entity. This day two units were sent out to the Brisbane Aquarium which had been abandoned where a DAP, Death Affected Person, had been seen. Medusa and Spectre discovered something that day that changed the way DAPs were not only treated but how we as a species dealt with them. Not a cure, but a source of control to sedate and make the DAPs compliant.
