Ali Cruz is not your average child. At the age of only four, Ali can read entire books in a matter of minutes and has an intelligence that no one from her home in the Philippines has ever seen. Father Bayon, the local priest, realizes that her gift is so exceptional that it must be divine. Ali feels called to use her gift to help those around her. Ali's knowledge leads her through an astonishing journey of danger and triumph. Along the way, she makes new friends, faces typhoons and volcanoes, endures tragedy, and travels across the world. With the help of her parents, her best friend Minda, Father Bayon, and her bodyguard, Neala, she discovers the true purpose of her gift.
