Resumen El 6 de agosto de 2014 ocurrió el peor desastre ambiental en la historia de la minería en México: se derramaron 40 000 m3 de solución de sulfato de cobre acidulado al sistema hídrico de la cuenca alta del río Sonora. Esta obra colectiva busca sistematizar y difundir en la sociedad un conjunto de estudios inéditos que, desde las ciencias sociales, se han desarrollado a partir del análisis de esta contingencia ambiental y sus consecuencias. Abstract On August 6, 2014, the worst environmental disaster in the history of mining in Mexico occurred: 40,000 m3 of acidified copper sulfate solution was spilled into the water system of the upper Sonora River basin. This collective work seeks to systematize and disseminate in society a set of unpublished studies that, from the social sciences, have been developed from the analysis of this environmental contingency and its consequences.
