A naive, star-struck small-town clerk journeys to Hollywood with dreams of becoming a serious dramatic actor in the silent film industry. However, his earnest, overly dramatic acting style unintentionally makes him the biggest comedic sensation on the silver screen. Blissfully unaware that audiences are laughing at him rather than with him, he navigates the bizarre, chaotic world of early cinema. This brilliant satire offers a hilarious yet poignant look at the illusions of fame and the ruthless machinery of Hollywood. Step behind the camera for a classic tale of accidental stardom and shattered dreams.
