The second installment in an original chapter-book series set in the world of HBO Max’s hit TV show Mermicorno: Starfall, written by New York Times bestselling author Kiki Thorpe
Treasure Hunt! is the second volume in an original chapter-book series set in the world of HBO Max’s hit TV show Mermicorno: Starfall and written by New York Times bestselling author Kiki Thorpe.
After leaving Scylla Flats, the Mermi-crew now includes Rip Tide and Sunsprite, but Sunsprite struggles to communicate, since none of the other Mermis speak Rainbowish. They all try their best, but misunderstandings abound, and Sunsprite needs a break. Meanwhile, Squishella also feels that the group isn’t listening to her or taking her seriously (mainly because she isn’t being serious) and follows Sunsprite away from the crew. After some initial struggles, the pair figure out that they can communicate with their art skills—Squishella through her singing and Sunsprite with her painting! Excited to share their discovery, they hurry back to the group—but their friends aren’t there.
It turns out the whole gang has been captured by Captain Cutter and are being forced to hunt for a long-lost treasure! To find and rescue their friends Squishella and Sunsprite must work across their language barrier and along the way discover that art can be a universal language!
