After her husband’s death, Sadie Brooks decides a fresh start on a ranch in Kansas will bring her nine-year-old son the life he deserves with stability—but her son’s hostility toward her husband grows from their first meeting. Toby’s pranks and defiance are unacceptable to her, but how can she stop him and ease the tension?
Ben York quickly falls for his new bride, and is happy with her ready-made family. Even when Toby glares and pulls childish pranks, Ben is patient, hoping to win the boy’s trust. When he catches Toby with a wild horse, he knows it’s time to make changes. But will Sadie allow him to do what’s necessary for their future?
Mail-Order Family is a clean and wholesome, Christian read with unique problems of a second marriage with children.
