Welcome to Magical Landscapes Secret Places. This beautiful book contains exceptional photography celebrating the Highlands of Scotland, capturing scenes of extraordinary natural and magical beauty. Created over a period of seventeen years, the idea for the book started back in 2001 when we moved from London to the Scottish Highlands. Having always loved nature and landscape and now living in such a stunning location, we soon began photographing the splendid wealth of imagery that was on our doorstep. From the beginning our approach to the photography was different. Our aim was to turn the images into fabulous stories developing the magical and fantasy elements of this wonderful environment. The book is image driven. However, we also appreciated the need for beautiful copy to accompany the photography and we are delighted to have Roberta Edwards and James A Whittaker as our main writers, their thought provoking text proved inspirational, uniquely enhancing the characteristics of each story. With Magical Landscapes Secret Places we've managed to capture the memory of how a significant amount of the landscape used to look, whilst at the same time adding the wonderful splashes of magic that make it a truly unique and visual delight.
