Lost Cause, But...
By Beatus Scient
Jean-Michel Brillantin has big dreams, wild ideas, and absolutely no clue. From dog massages to coaching houseplants, this eccentric Ivorian visionary stumbles through one failed venture after another — each more absurd than the last. But behind the satire and slapstick lies a touching story of resilience, identity, and the stubborn human need to matter.
As Jean-Michel chases meaning in a world that doesn't seem to take him seriously, he ends up revealing truths we all feel but rarely admit. Laugh-out-loud funny and unexpectedly moving, Lost Cause, But... is a poetic tale about failure, community, and finding your voice — even if it's to speak to a toaster.
