The ancient inhabitants fear him, the pharaoh and his wife worship him, while Skye, with her flaming red hair, is branded a sorceress and sent to work in the blistering heat as a slave. Dane must work his way back to her but is thwarted by factions he never expected and can't outmaneuver. And when a new enemy appears, their situation becomes the most dangerous yet.
