Lime (Sour Lime) was originally grown in India or Malaysia but quickly made its way around the Mediterranean and into America. Sour lime essential oil, derived from the fruit, is excellent for fighting coughs and colds.
Citrus aurantifolia
Topical (Adults): Mix 1 to 5 drops in 1 teaspoon (5ml) of vegetable oil; apply locally 3 times a day. Inhalation (Respiratory syst.): Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5-10 minutes.
