While famous writers of science in the 19th century published books, research and theses barely comprehensible to the average adult mind, much less to the mind of children, Arabella B. Buckley took a fresh approach.
A writer and science educator, Buckley aimed her books towards children and young people. Which is why "Life and Her Children" was written with a singular aim, to help children and young people understand evolution and the lower forms of life in a simple and didactic way. She does this with the use of metaphors and narrative language, making this book into an interesting scientific story.
The beauty of this book is that its language is so simple that a parent could read it to their child at bed time, or a child could enjoy a leisurely read on their own. And, its perfect for everyone who would love a much simpler and comprehensive writing on this branch of science.
There have been many books written on science and life forms, but this one creates a narrative that anyone can understand.
