A novel covering the 'lost' years of Leonardo da Vinci when he lived in France at the end of his life. The story is based within the factual background of the patronage of Francois I, when he invited Leonardo to live in France, at Amboise, where the Court was based. Leonardo looks back on his life and reflects on his successes and failures, whilst events at Court move swiftly and dangerously around him.
