Last Song on Skye is T.E. Swan's debut novel, the first in a series. In this superbly woven plot, she blends her investigative experience with her love of mystery novels featuring wise women.
"Take an aging rocker who is Scotland's platinum blonde version of Elvis, his illegitimate child, some long standing resentments, and two American women trying to come to terms with their history. Put them all on the Isle of Skye, trailed by a reporter with no ethics or boundaries, but amusing as well as being annoying, and history will catch up with all of them. T.E. Swan has the gift of getting readers to care about her characters, whether they appear for just a few moments or travel from cover to cover. Her plot is skillfully written and riveting, and the narrative superbly paced. It's the kind of book where you can't wait to see what happens next." - Diane Frank, Author of Mermaids and Musicians
"What fun reading Last Song on Skye ! This delightful debut mystery novel by T.E. Swan engages and entertains us with quirky characters and fast-paced whodunit mischief. Swan's two feisty protagonists lead us on a lively chase from San Francisco to London and finally to the Isle of Skye when their nostalgic visit to the past turns into a search to find a killer and clear themselves as murder suspects. Of course, we root for these indomitable women, but somehow, we can't quite hate the villains, thanks to Swan's writing skill. I suggest you add this book to your collection of cozy mysteries." - Elinor Gale, Author of The Emancipation of Emily Rosenbloom
