The Musselshell publication is the 34th in a series of 35 reports prepared by the Missouri Basin field group of the Bureau of Land Management in support of the Missouri Basin Project. That project is the Basin Development Program of the Department of The Interior, with basic authority in the Flood Control Act of 1944, executed by the Secretary of The Interior through the Bureau of Reclamation as construction agency. The Department, through the latter agency finances Bureau of Land Management participation by transfer of funds.
