"Steve Massa has become a world-class chronicler and archaeologist of silent comedy." - Leonard Maltin As a sequel to his original 2013 volume author Steve Massa celebrates a new batch of unsung practitioners and overlooked aspects of silent film comedy. Profiled are neglected rank and file such as Ingram "Seven Foot" Pickett, Edward Luddy, James "Bubbles" Berry, Earl Mohan, and a Harry Keaton that was not Buster's brother, as well as popular names like Leo McCarey and Larry Semon. Edward Everett Horton's career as a silent screen performer, the rise of animal stars, and the invasion of the British music hall comics are also discussed.
