Desirée recounts in Book 1 her young life that led her to give her life to Jesus Christ. Starting as a scrappy little girl learning to be a proper lady from two movie loving idiosyncratic parents, an anglophile mother and loving but clandestine father. Desiree writes how she learned about Jesus through the tutelage of an Irish Sunday schoolteacher and a defiant kindergarten teacher. Ms. Stone testifies with humor and poignancy about life events that would lead her to have an encounter on television that led her as a young lady to bend a knee to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and a new walk of faith. Her memoir Ladystone: A Walk of Faith by a Cinephile is a testimony of the three things that have given her a beautiful life in the hardest of times, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the blessing of her children, and the joy of the movies. Life behind enemy lines would be quite difficult without these three sanctuaries.
